Continuing Education (CME/CNE)
Affiliated with Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, we recognize a major commitment to the continuous professional development of Vanderbilt and community physicians and others in the health professions.
Continuing medical education is considered an important part of the continuum of medical education which is initiated in the undergraduate experience, progresses through graduate medical education, and matures in ongoing continuing medical education and continuing professional development. In 2014, the School of Medicine Division of CME was awarded Accreditation with Commendation by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), recognizing demonstrated engagement with the quality improvement enterprise in a way that supports physician learning and quality patient care.
