F.A.Q

Why the new system?
Simply put, our old system was outdated and lacked flexibility. We wanted something that would allow us to be more nimble and innovative, while still giving us the important data that we need to capture.
How will this change affect me?
This system will make it easier for you to register for and keep up with your training events. You will create a profile one time, and your information will be saved in our database. Now you can register for events without entering a lot of information about yourself every single time, simply by logging into your profile. Go ahead and setup your profile here, and once your profile is created you can register for an event with just 3 clicks!
I created my profile. Now what?
You can see the training events you have registered for – both upcoming and past – by clicking the Dashboard button. It is important to note that this will only show the past events you have registered for from July 1, 2017 going forward.
You can also check out what else is on the calendar throughout our region by clicking on the Event Calendar button.

If you experience any relevant changes in the future (new job, degree, email address, etc.), please indicate those changes in your profile by clicking the Update Your Information button.

If you have any questions or experience any bugs with our new system, please let us know by clicking Registration and Account Support.

Will my credits be stored in my profile?
Not exactly, but if you just want to track your attendance you will be able to easily print out a certificate for all the past training events you’ve attended (from July 1, 2017 and on). Just go to the Dashboard and click on the Your Past Events tab. If you have not yet completed an evaluation for that training, there will be a button that says “Complete Evaluation.” Once you do so, that button will say “View Certificate.”

If you need actual accreditation hours of any type (CME, CNE, NASW, etc.) you will access those outside of the registration system. For Webcast Wednesdays, the credit process will remain the same: CME is tracked through Vanderbilt’s credit website, and nursing and social work credits are requested on a week-to-week basis.

Must I provide my e-mail address?
Yes.
Because e-mail addresses are unique, it is effective method of providing a unique ID.

If you ever signed up for any of our training events using our old registration system, you were prompted to enter a “Unique ID number” made up of the first two letters of your first and last name and the month and date of your birth (John Smith, born January 1 = JOSM0101). Our funding is supplied by a federal grant, and that number is how we are required to track who attends our training events. While a bit cumbersome to describe, it is intended to be easy to remember and consistent across the country.

Your e-mail address is used as the ID for our funding provider. However, we do not share it with any other entity.  We provide our presenters with aggregated (de-identified) data so we can continue to improve our training.
