About the Minority Aids Initiative (MAI) Program

The MAI program provides funding to improve access to HIV care and health outcomes for racial and ethnic minority populations disproportionately affected by HIV. Under Ryan White Part F, MAI focuses on increasing the training capacity of AETCs and expanding the number of health care professionals with treatment expertise and knowledge about the most appropriate HIV-related treatments and medical care for racial and ethnic minority adults, adolescents, and children with HIV.
